The D2Heat Support facility, consisting of REGEA, Avelant, and HGK, organized the first workshop on the topic of public procurement with the aim of enhancing the capacities of the procurement departments of district heating companies.
The workshop was conducted by Hrvoje Karažija from Avelant, and in addition to the introductory lecture on public procurement, topics such as mistakes in the preparation and implementation of public procurement procedures and their impact on the preparation and implementation of EU projects were covered. Furthermore, the latest practices of DKOM and VUS regarding public procurement procedures funded by EU funds, as well as the most common mistakes in the preparation and implementation of public procurement procedures in EU-funded projects, were discussed.
Workshops on public procurement are an integral part of the implementation of the sustainability, exploitation, and replication strategy of project results aimed at enhancing the capacities of public procurement departments in the application of innovative and green elements of public procurement. The plan includes the implementation of a total of six workshops by the end of the project duration.
